three perspectives on vulnerability
Person 1
Social studies taught me what vulnerability is. But I don't think staying vulnerable is a bad thing, it's bad only when you don't use the opportunities to come out of it. Because most people hardly have any choice, they are made to stay vulnerable. For example, even if we don't go for an emotional meaning, we see a lot of vulnerable people everyday. Imo, sometimes you just can't help but stay vulnerable.
(Anan wrote more about being emotionally vulnerable, more like from a teen's mind, but I'm talking about being vulnerable in basic everyday activities. Vulnerability has no one meaning)
Person 2
*VULNERABILITY*
Vulnerability doesn't just mean one thing. It can be defined in different contexts. It can generally be referred as being affected in anyway.A vulnerable person can be destroyed physically, mentally, economically and socially. It is very easy for a person to say," We are vulnerable only if we think so".We can agree with the statement ofcourse! But the society isn't aware of the number of people living in fear throughout their life.Being vulnerable reduces a person's confidence. So, it is extremely important to keep motivating oneself if he or she feels weak in any way.It is also equally important to share our feelings to a person we trust. Whether it is a person who has suffered from a huge loss or a person who has met with an accident,it is necessary to treat them without any difference and feed them positive things. Maybe this can help them build themselves again.Thinking about people in worse conditions can help them out too!Hope all of us live with joy forgetting all our wounds, complexes, weaknesses and worries.
Person 3 [me]
This is the word I have learnt today. Obviously I came across this word many times but I really didn't know its meaning it is an Latin word for wound. But being vulnerable is not a bad thing but staying vulnerable is not good.....
Vulnerability/vulnerable means week and easy to hurt physically and emotionally....
You don't have to be vulnerable to everyone you meet.....just put yourself out there it's not about winning or loosing it's about how you take the challenge in life.....
In my perspective I think, we are born to do something in this marathon called life. Your permission is not asked if u want to join or not you are just here trying not to be vulnerable and bringing some meaning to your life, the process is what we live for..... we all know that people who suicide are cowards they are not ready to enjoy the life , one nightmare and that's it they think "oh god why does it have to be for me alone" .....but the reality is God gave you every opportunity for you to live your life you want....it's just you choose it to live this way....let the celebration of life begin with ups and downs.....
Be Ready to enjoy the downs the way you celebrate the ups
